1.      Minutes from the August 20, 2011 meeting were read.  A motion was made by  Tom Manial and seconded by Barb Hatfield to accept the minutes with corrections,
and passed by council and membership.

2.      The treasurers’ reports were presented for the months of both July and August by Assistant Treasurer, Brenda Mikesell, in the absence of Ray Shelby.  A motion
was made by Barb Hatfield, and seconded by Fred Kapa to accept both reports.  Passed by council  and membership.

3.      Volunteer hours were explained  and volunteer hour record sheets were available for members to log in their hours.

5.      Jeff Turner showed members the web-site for the SVAM that he prepared to date.  He changed the meeting time on the site from the 2nd to the 3rd Saturday of
the month.  We discussed the possibility of having membership dues, and dog tag sales available on the website.  The logistics of payment (i.e. credit card payments or
PayPal) was tabled until another meeting.

6.      Barb Hatfield is working out details of membership cards, letters of renewal, etc., so that our members will get their membership cards and notices in a timely

7.      On Veteran's Day, November 11, 2011 (Friday), Tom Manial will do a fly-over with the L-2 for the Veteran's Memorial Day ceremony.  Dan Kenny and Fred Kapa will
pull the engine trailer and be involved in the parade to the Veteran's Park in Saginaw.

8.      The new hangar preparations continue for the Harry Browne Airport, with a possible ground breaking this coming spring.

New Business

1.      Fred Kapa advised that the forms required by the State of Michigan for our 501C3 status have been mailed and received by the State of Michigan for the year
2012, as required.

2.      Tom Manial advised we received an invitation to the Owosso Dawn Patrol, however, due to the rather late invitation, we do not have the volunteers to
participate.  However, Tom will take the L-2 to the event on that weekend.

3.      Dan Kenny advised he found another good dog tag machine that is available from the Medical Center in West Branch, Michigan.  They will give the machine to us,
but would like us to consider a donation to their facility  for a medical machine that they need in their bio-medical department.

Dan has contacted them, telling them that we can use the dog tag machine, either as a working unit, or for parts to replace worn ones on our existing machine, but he
has not yet heard back from them.

A motion was made by Jeff Turner to give Dan Kenny the authority to  offer the medical facility a donation, not to exceed $750.00 to be made to the Bio-Medical
Department of the West Branch Medical Facility as a donation for the dog tag machine.  The motion was seconded by Barb Hatfield, and passed by the council and
members.

4.      A motion was made by Dan Kenny to have our Christmas and holiday meeting again this year as a breakfast meeting at the Texan Restaurant on November 19,
2011, and that we would invite, and pay for the breakfast of invited guests who have contributed to our museum in various ways over the past year to thank them for
their help and support.  The motion included that our existing members will pay $5.00 a piece for their own breakfasts.  The motion was seconded by Dale Mikesell, and
passed by the council and membership.

5.      After discussion, a motion was made by Tom Manial that we become members of the Saginaw Castle Museum, as they have been supportive of our new museum.
The motion was seconded by Jeff Turner, and passed by the council and members.

Meeting adjourned @ 11:10 AM.   Next meeting Sat. October 15, 2011
